The Bookend View to a Beautiful Day in Yosemite! (Yosemite National Park) par thor_mark 

I'd commented on another photo that I taken earlier in the day about that giddy feeling a photographer can have before getting to a location. What then follows is an awe inspiring one when one finally gets to a place and sets up the camera equipment to try to capture an image of what one is seeing...or savoring! This drive to Glacier Point was pretty much the same combination of feelings. Giddy on the drive there, wondering what I might see with the Sierra Nevada mountains...and then freaking awestruck feeling at this view with Yosemite Valley and mountain peaks with blue skies and white puffy clouds above! For the image itself, I angled my SLR camera slightly downward so that I could capture more of the depth of the valley and mountain peaks in front of me, but also including the blue skies with clouds caught in with that yellow glow of setting sunlight.
